Donald Trump has revealed he is taking hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malarial drug which he has controversially touted as a potential treatment for coronavirus.
The US president said he takes a pill every day and has been doing so for the last 10 days. He also said he is taking zinc, which has also been floated as a possibly remedy to the virus.
"I’ve taken it for about a week-and-a-half and I’m still here," Mr Trump said of hydroxychloroquine, downplaying warnings that it could cause negative side-effects.
Mr Trump said: "A lot of good things have come out about the hydroxy. You'd be surprised at how many people are taking it, especially the front line workers before you catch it. And if it's not good I'll tell you, right? Not going to get hurt by it."
