Pretty Little Thing is selling a pair of transparent plastic trousers and people have a lot of opinions
If you're a keen follower of fashion, you probably saw the see-through jeans Topshop were flogging last year.
Those brave enough to bare all were obsessed with them, but most were left unimpressed.
We all breathed a sigh of relief when the clear jeans seemed to drop off the face of the earth, however it seems the trend could be making a comeback.
For summer 2018, Pretty Little Thing have launched their own version of the odd trend.
The new-in section of their website features transparent zip front trousers which cost £30 a pair.
And they're made entirely from plastic
The quirky garment is available in sizes 4 to 16 and differs from the Topshop version by being less tight fitting, with the addition of an on-trend kick flare.
The product description says: "Your look will be anything but transparent in these trousers girl.
"Featuring a clear transparent fabric with a zip front and figure hugging fit."
They go on to recommend pairing the trousers with hotpants and a crop top to create a look they are 'crushing on'.
People on social media aren't loving the transparent look.
One person commented: "Just wrap cling film around your legs. They look ridiculous."
Another said: "Really Pretty Little Thing, TRANSPARENT TROUSERS? Wee bit too much."
A third added: "What a time to be alive."
Recently shoppers were also shocked to see that sneaker wedges had become a thing.
Inspired by your dad's favourite footwear, the shoes created by DSquared2 caused a stir across the internet.
Unveiled at Milan Fashion Week, the shoes boast a wedge heel, three front straps and feature bright neon colours - including red, yellow and blue.
One person said: "That looks like some costume accessories in Power Rangers or something."
Others compared it to something out of a Transformers movie or anime show.
